This policy describes what Joura does with your information.

Joura is provided by NONIC Network, 2605 Lisboa, Portugal ("we", "us"). For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation we are the data controller for the information described here.

The short version

1. What Joura collects, and why

1.1 Your account

Joura has no password of its own. You sign in with Apple or with Google, and we receive from that provider a user identifier, your email address, and — the first time only, and only if you allow it — your name.

If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, Apple gives us a private relay address instead of your real one. Joura works normally with it.

Data Why
Account identifier To know which trips are yours.
Email address To identify the account and to reach you about it.
Display name and profile photo Shown to the other people on your trips. Both are yours to change.

1.2 Your profile settings

Your display currency, your language, your home timezone and your light/dark preference. These are stored so Joura behaves the same on your phone and your tablet. Your language is also read on our servers, so that a notification arrives written in your language rather than the language of whoever triggered it.
